Winner of the National Press – 150 Mini-Football Tournament Determined

The mini-football tournament among journalists, held in Shamakhi on July 20, 2025, in connection with the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani National Press, has concluded.
The winners of the competition, organized at the Shamakhi Olympic Sports Complex by Yurd.Media and the Sports Research Center with informational support from the Teleqraf  Information Agency, have been determined.
In the match for third place, officiated by referees of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), a team composed of journalists from information agencies and newspapers faced the Ziya team representing socio-political news websites. The match ended with a 7:3 victory for the Akinchi team, which included Kenan Hasanov, editor of the sports department of the Report News Agency. 
In the tournament final, the Kaspi team, formed by television professionals, competed against the Kashkul team representing sports websites. In a tense match, Kaspi secured a 3:1 victory and lifted the tournament trophy.
At the award ceremony, the top three teams – Kaspi, Kashkul, and Akinchi – were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals respectively, while all participants received certificates of appreciation. The awards were presented by Murad Aliyev, Editor-in-Chief of Yurd.Media, and Elshan Mammadov, Chairman of the Sports Research Center.
In the final match, the Kaspi team, which included Baku TV employees Iman Majidov and Nurani Isgandarov, defeated the “Kashkul” team representing sports websites with a score of 3:1 to become the tournament champion. Nurani Isgandarov, a member of the Kaspi team and an employee of Baku TV, was named the tournament’s best player.
Kenan Mastaliyev, goalkeeper of the “Kashkul” team, was recognized as the tournament’s best goalkeeper, while Nurani Isgandarov of Kaspi received the award for best player. Both were presented with special prizes. At the end of the ceremony, Shahmar Huseynov, Head of the Youth and Sports Sector for the Shamakhi district of the Mountainous Shirvan Regional Youth and Sports Department, presented the trophy to the winning team.
It should be noted that the tournament was held with the organizational support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, AFFA, and the Gabala Sports Club.
