Two training programmes were conducted for Global Media Group employees to develop their first aid skills and enhance their knowledge of occupational safety, health protection and environmental management.
First Aid and Medical Skills
The BLS (Basic Life Support) training covered the fundamental principles of basic life support for adults, children and infants. The programme included recognising the signs of cardiac arrest, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), providing rescue breathing, using an automated external defibrillator (AED), and applying initial intervention techniques in cases of airway obstruction.
During the practical session, participants demonstrated their first aid skills on mannequins and reinforced their knowledge through a question-and-answer session.
Legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Protection
The second training session focused on enhancing participants' knowledge of the legislative framework governing occupational safety, health protection and environmental protection in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The programme covered the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Labour Code, the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offences, as well as relevant laws, presidential decrees, decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers and other regulatory acts. Participants also received information on international treaties, relevant conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, the investigation of workplace accidents, the rights and responsibilities of employers and employees, and legal liability for violations of applicable legislation.
Both training programmes aimed to strengthen employees' knowledge and skills in safety, improve risk assessment and enhance preparedness for emergency situations. These initiatives reflect the importance Global Media Group places on creating a safe working environment and protecting the health of its employees.
