Global Media Group organized a chess tournament
A chess tournament was held among employees of media outlets operating within Global Media Group.
The competition took place on May 7 at the Republican Chess Center and was organized with the support of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation and the Baku City Youth and Sports Department.
Employees of Report Information Agency, Global Management outsourcing company, Baku TV channel, Caliber information and analytical portal, Oxu.az, and Baku.ws news portals competed in the tournament, which was held under the 7-round Swiss system format.
According to the final results, Zaur Hasanaliyev, an employee of Oxu.az, secured first place, Sanan Agamalizade, an employee of Report Information Agency, finished second, while Rafael Rustamov, a representative of Baku.ws, claimed third place.
The winners were awarded cash prizes, certificates, and chess sets presented by the Azerbaijan Chess Federation. Other participants received certificates of appreciation for their active participation.
