We would like to clarify the discussions that have emerged on social media regarding photos and videos allegedly belonging to Kubra Maharramova, a journalist and employee of  Global Media Group.
We inform that this idea originated during an interview on artificial intelligence prepared for “Baku TV/Ru” and was later implemented in the format of a social experiment.
During the interview, the real risks posed by “deepfake” technologies were discussed. In order to demonstrate, through a practical example, how dangerous this issue can be for society, it was decided to conduct this experiment. The purpose of the experiment was not to target any specific individual, but to convey an important message: in today’s world, anyone — whether an ordinary citizen or a public figure — can become a victim of “deepfake” technologies. It is also important to note that not every image or video shared on social media, and sometimes even in the media, reflects reality.
