It should be noted that the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum, organized at the initiative of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is one of the most influential global platforms on sustainable urbanization.
“Housing for all: safe and sustainable cities and human settlements” is the theme of this year’s event. The theme highlights the urgency of addressing the global housing crisis and emphasizes the crucial role of housing as one of the key drivers of inclusive, resilient, and sustainable urban development.
WUF13 will bring together national governments, cities, international organizations, the private sector, academia, and civil society. The forum will contribute to promoting solutions to the global housing crisis, as well as accelerating the implementation of the New Urban Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
