Premiere of the Docudrama “Khojaly. The Last Wedding…” Held with the Support of Global Media Group and Organized by the Report News Agency
On March 12, 2025, the premiere of the docudrama “Khojaly. The Last Wedding…” was held with the support of Global Media Group and organized by the Report News Agency.
The idea for the film was inspired by a wedding photograph taken on January 18, 1992. The storyline is based on the story of the last wedding ceremony that remained unfinished as a result of the shelling of Khojaly 33 years ago.
The film presents the historical realities of the Khojaly tragedy through the story of a single family. The documentary footage was filmed in Khojaly, while the dramatized scenes were shot in the Agsu district.
The project was led by Elnur Abdullayev, Chairman of the Board of Global Media Group. The idea and screenplay were developed by Niyam Shirinov, the film was directed by Yusif Alakbarzade, and the producer is Fuad Huseynaliyev.
