Global Media Group Launches Media Academy Training Programme

Global Media Group has launched a joint training programme of the Report Media School and the Professional Media School, operating within the structure of its Media Academy.
Ten students selected from among the applicants will prepare news articles, interviews, reports, and investigative pieces while learning the fundamentals of journalism. In addition, they will gain knowledge in photojournalism, digital marketing, and soft skills. During the training period, special emphasis will be placed on news journalism and digital media.
At a meeting held at the Professional Media School, the participants included Saadat Ismayilova, Head of the Human Resources Department of the Global Management outsourcing company, and its Chief Manager Malaknaza Yusifova; Namig Mayilov, Editor-in-Chief of the Report News Agency; Ismayil Rafigoglu, Head and trainer of the Report Media School; as well as trainers of the Professional Media School – Laura Seyidbayova, Head of the Marketing Department of Global Management; Vusal Bakirov, Public Relations Manager; and Ramil Zeynalov, Director of the PhotoStock photo bank.
Speaking at the meeting, Saadat Ismayilova emphasized that the Media Academy of Global Media Group provides comprehensive and high-level training programmes:
“We have been successfully implementing a number of media projects for years. Our training team also consists of experienced professionals. Within this project, we aim to further strengthen the teaching of digital skills and new technologies. According to the Group’s internal policy, when filling open vacancies, we first consider candidates who have successfully completed the training. Those who demonstrate strong results are offered employment opportunities.”
Later, Namig Mayilov highlighted the importance of passion for the profession for those wishing to work in journalism.
“It is always a pleasure to work with young people who come to journalism out of genuine interest in the media. Our profession is not easy – it involves stress, constant movement and excitement – but it is very engaging. Even at the age of 60, when you walk with a microphone in your hand, you still feel young. I believe the knowledge you gain here will be very useful for you,” the Editor-in-Chief said.
At the end of the meeting, Ismayil Rafigoglu congratulated the students selected for the programme:
“The selection process was not easy. Together with the Human Resources Department, we worked hard to form this group. Each selected student earned their place by completing specific tasks. I am confident that the programme will continue successfully in the months ahead.”
